DIESEL TRUCKS

Diesel Trucks are specialised Service Trucks that are ideal for onsite refuelling at remote mining and construction areas. These trucks help to avoid downtime caused by fuel unavailability in remote areas and keep your mining operations running smoothly.
They can easily refill diesel into heavy-duty vehicles, machinery, earth-moving equipment and power generators at mining or construction sites.

AREAS OF APPLICATION

Plantman’s Diesel Service Trucks are built to aid mining and construction operations at remote areas, providing steady onsite refuelling options to equipment and machinery. Their sturdy and well-built structures are beneficial in harsh mining environments with rugged terrain.

Our Diesel Service Trucks can transfer fuel in bulk volumes directly into your heavy machinery or mining equipment, saving you a considerable amount of time and money.

With our direct refuelling options:

  • There’s no ‘downtime’ or costly ‘fuel replenishment’ trips by machinery and equipment as the diesel comes to you.
  • Refuelling is done straight into machinery or equipment, so chances of fuel theft or spills from construction are neutralised.
  • More of the fuel you pay for goes towards growing your profits.
You reduce your environmental and safety risks.

FAQs - Diesel Tankers

How long does diesel last in a truck?

Under favourable conditions, diesel fuel can be stored between six to twelve months, best suited for your long-term mining, civil or commercial construction projects in remote areas, but it will need some timely maintenance such as: timely removal of water as all tanks build up water over time. monitoring and neutralising any possible microbial presence in the fuel.

Do Diesel Trucks get better fuel economy?

Diesel trucks are more fuel-efficient as compared to similar-sized petrol vehicles. Diesel engines can go about 20% to 35% further on a litre of fuel than their equivalent petrol engines.

How often should you change the fuel filter in a diesel truck?

Since diesel fuels are less refined and greasier than petrol fuels; it becomes significantly important to change fuel filters on diesel engines at regular intervals. Usually, a fuel filter should be changed after every 15,000 to 25,000 kilometres.

What does a turbo do on a diesel truck?

A turbocharged diesel engine delivers more torque output than a diesel engine without a turbocharger. A turbocharger increases an engine’s efficiency and allows more fuel to be burned.
